There couldn't be a better combination for business. Three partners in AAA-One Transmission located at 3825 Military Trail in Lake Worth, is the businessman.
George Fleitas is the lift man and Vicente Benitez is the master re-builder.
With more than 40 years of experience among them, they know all aspects of the transmission business.
Singer got his start in the Bronx, in New York after graduation from New York City Collage with a degree in marketing.
He began working for his uncle who owned an Aamco business and helped it grow from two to five stores. Singer took every opportunity to learn all aspects of his uncle's business from production to customer service to soliciting, to fleet accounts. After joining the sales team, he soon ranked in the top 20 in the U.S. Out of a 1,000 Aamco Salesmen. Wanting to be in business on his own, he and a partner opened a transmission franchise in the Queen's area of New York. His business skills enabled him to take the business from eleventh to number two in the chain. It was during that time he meet Fleitas. Originally from Paraguay, he came to the U.S. When he was 19 years old. Singer and he became friends and Singer even signed Fleita's immigration papers so he could stay and work in this country. Fleitas introduced Singer to Benitez, also from Paraguay. The three soon became fast Friends and Rounded out each other's skills sets. Singer realized the relationship that was developing was the perfect making for a business partnership. Benitez is the master re-builder. One wall the reception area holds the many certificates from seminars and special training classes he attended to learn new techniques. “There's no one better than Vicente, he's been doing this for 20 years, he's done it all,” Singer said. The lift man, Fleitas, removes, sets up and install the transmissions and does the road tests. His is the most physical effort, according to Singer. “He does the work of two average individuals,” claims Singer. In 1989 Singer came to Florida to look for shop locations. After cheeking the Ft. Myers and Orlando areas, he decided that Lake Worth was the best suited. “It was the closest to big city living we could find, “ Singer said. He wanted to provide good, quality service to nice people and Lake Worth was the spot. It was the perfect spot, according to Singer. The other businesses at 3825 Military Trail are all auto related. The location is called Florida Car Care. In one stop a vehicle can get a tune up at Precision Tune, brake serviced at Brake world, transmission repair at AAA One Transmission as well as window tinted and alarms installed. All the business are owner operated and they all love what they do, according to Singer. “The place as a whole has done very well since we've been here,” said Singer. “We are Here for the long Haul, we have long leases,” he claimed. It's a perpetuation of good business.”He said that a lot of good will is created among the owners. They refer customers to each other but don't take commissions on the exchanged business. Instead they are able to keep their cost down which keeps them competitively priced.“We all love what we do, you can't have any better caring for your automobile than you do here,” said Singer.
